I still say something sounds fishy. If the police were there, they would have driven her and the child to another hotel.

Also, why, after seeing the old lady and small child, didn't the police allow them to simply get dressed before throwing them out if they really thought this was an ok reason to eject them. And why not offer to drive them down the street to the other hotel?

I'll tell you why. Because MANY police are so low IQ that they cannot think logically. Granny should have called them first to have the manager arrested for being a filthy scum bag. They would have hauled him off in the world of idiocracy.

I believe the manager... that she was most likely being a "Karen" and constantly complaining to them. I mean, what type of person rates their stay before they even stay? She is such a complainer, she took her issue to the news because she didn't like the Hotels website refund/cancelation terms for her stay. They clearly spell it out for you whenever you purchase your room. Lady sounds like a real nightmare.

Btw, this happened in September and is just now getting picked up. That's why she was complaining about the pool.

Vyas is a little bitch with a diamond earring that had his ego hurt because a white woman was ordering him around, in his mind. He's a product of his culture and hasn't been in our country very long, based on his broken English and lack of customer service skills.

He should have had the toilet fixed or moved her, I don't believe he tried to get her a different room. I suspect he was a rude asshole when she was calling to report the issue.

I've stayed in many, many, many hotels throughout my career and travels. I know the attitude they have.

We have a few really good restaurants around. I like Spice 55 and Bib Daddy's in Helen. The Chop House and Bleau Canoe over at Burton. Those are my favorites. Hiawassee is a nice town, too.

I believe the manager who received 10 complaint calls within an hour. I've had customers who couldn't stop complaining even with 'money back' offers. We couldn't shut her up.

This is a hit piece on an Indian hotel manager. Period.

That was my first thought.

This happened in September. Helen, Georgia is warm enough for pools up until early November.

I was talking to a guy from Iran a couple years ago. He explained that the concept of "customer service" does not exist around the globe and used the example of an appliance store in Iran (dishwashers, stoves, sort of like a Home Depot).

They don't answer questions, they don't try to understand your needs or make suggestions as to what you should buy. They just take the money when you've made your selection.

He was new to the US and was amazed at our "customer service" attitude here.

So, when you import the third world (or allow them to buy up your hotels, etc...) don't expect first world service. Expect to be treated like shit and told to fuck off if you complain about a toilet that doesn't work.

Me too. It is likely that she was pushy as a result of his being an over the top loser. These "types" will NEVER refund her money. They will say the did and die on that mountain over as little as $5.00. It is not really about the money at all. I've dealt with thousands of these types and it IS THEIR CULTURE to behave this way.

My significant other and I are both fairly convinced that most Indians working (even up to) management positions, even at family jobs, might be victims of smuggling/slave trade/indentured servitude.

I don’t think what the guy did was called for, but there may be a side of the story that explains why he acted the way he did (self-defense against his handlers, etc). Just…a really off the wall thought after a couple years of seeing these family businesses forget names of their dearly moved on family members (new jobs, new towns, etc, suddenly the new employees are also family even though new to town, etc)…
