Yeah, it's my nearest town - I'm just over east of Unicoi. The PTB in town don't want anything to change. So basically, the town isn't advancing any. If it doesn't change and grow and plan, it will die. They won't let in any fast food (not sure How Wendy's got in there). They won't let developments in because their water/sewer cannot handle the additional. In short, the town has some really (did I say really) bad management.

Police should just have informed the manager that what he wants is ILLEGAL

Why would you leave a review so soon after check-in? Couldn't give "The Patels" time enough to even address your issue? Furthermore, if I drive up to a motel/hotel if I even so much as see shit out of place and it looking rundown I keep going. If the bathroom smells like a goat just took a shower then I'm gonna assume a fucking goat did indeed just take a shower and I'm outta there.
Some of these assholes give low reviews just to see if they can get some or all of their money back and it wouldn't surprise me if this was one of them. Probably not her first scam truth be told.

Where's the line of attorneys?

The police officer must have been bored or being blackmailed. That is usually a civil matter, that they would have advised the clerk to take up with the courts (ha-ha) or corporate. Anyways this cop will now be in trouble with the city Who Ima sure the corporation will contact. Because we all know this is not a good hotel Chain.

The one nearest by in my town, my friend had to leave after setting in to go bed. She felt something crawling on her. The room was infested with bedbugs. She left and went to the Holiday in down the street. It cost a lot more but no bed bugs. That was like 5 years ago.

Susan Leger, 63, was on the first of her three-night stay at the Baymont Inn & Suites in the mountain town of Helen, Georgia in September when she got a call from the hotel manager telling her she had to leave.

It came shortly after booking site Hotels.com asked her to leave a review post-check-in. Leger did, branding the property 'run down'. She also complained that her room's toilet did not flush properly and that the pool was closed.


'My granddaughter's like clinging to my leg and crying so hard. This was scary. This was just horrifying,' Leger told WXIA.

Police then showed up to remove her and her 6-year-old grandchild, writing in a report that management wanted her out because she 'had given the hotel a bad review.'

Whatever you do, do not bring a black light with you. There are some things better off not knowing.

This reminds me of something that happened to me in Houston. I had just got into town after being hired by an oil company, I didn't have a whole lot of money do I checked into a fleabag motel.

ANYWAY, about an hour after I got there the manager came and knocked on the door, told me my time was up.

I said WHAT?

About then it hit me, this was one of them hotels people check into to bang a hooker. Place was filthy and smelt like ass anyway.
