Strange goings on in the night on the Canadian border

Viseting friends over near the shallows in the U.P of Mich. and still awake at 6:30 am and since it was mild out(39 f) i opened the window about four inches. I heard the loud rattle of a Freight train over one of the RR bridges into Canada. It makes quite a loud rattley sound which one gets used to but as it approached the bridge, no whistle blowing or anything, which was strange so I dont know how long it was going on.Plus it should of sounded the whistle at each major street crossing over in Canada, yet Silence!

But here it is 8:o3 and its still going into Canada with no end in sight!! Now that's a long train!

The two bridges are over 100 yrs old and the one now in use is the one with about nine camelback trusses and a vertical lift that lifts the entire section over the "soo" locks straight up by weights and cables so the ocean going traffic can get through, so its strange to hear it still going by since that means the ore boat going both ways had to anchor till the train passes.

This so called friendly border didnt even close in WWI or WWII, nor during 911, yet for covid shut a year and half ago NO traffic at all except for Emergency or medical personnel.
Now ykkou can only go to visit gramma or attend a wedding if you have to have vxx-pass-port; fully vaxed and a clean covid nasal negative test. But this train just flow across...
