Back when I worked for a great life insurance company they had booklets for bereaved families
Call your insurance agent (any life insurance ) and ask if they have one for children like “when a parent dies”. They should have one for children and one for the family on how to help children- with age appropriate suggestions
Life insurance companies are actually a wonderful and free resource for families handling death
Quoting: Theobromine Your local hospice will have this brochure and others. I’ve done hospice for my husband and sister-in-law and they are a precious service to have when we need help and comfort the most. I’m sure they will also point you to grief counseling sessions (they did for me). They have sessions for children that both your son and granddaughter could also benefit from.
