Focus on your grandchildren. Scoop them up and surround them in a world of love. If you can take them out of the situation and let others get past the initial shock, it will be the best.

Most children are more traumatized by the grief of others, than they are of the loss themselves. At least at first.

Take them away for a vacation at Grandpa's if possible.
