The prompt swift reaction of various Nations made me sit up, clearly they are steps ahead. Is it really that bad?

My worry is society has become so polarised that everyone now feels invincible because they’re always ‘right’, I think this is our achilles against Covid and will be our undoing.

If vaccines are what led to Omicron, then why did it emerge in one of the least vaccinated nations on earth... as opposed to the most.

US, UK, and Israel were at the forefront of the first major waves of vaccination.

Yet we're talking about the Botswana variant, not the US variant or the UK variant or the Israel variant.

All this time, just about a year in now, and no scariants emerged from these nations despite 50 million or so infections in these countries during that time period.

That's 20 times the population of Botswana infected, no scariants to be found.

You know what Botswana does have though? AIDS. Like 1 in 5 people have AIDS in Botswana. That's a lot of AIDS. Which means a lot of persistent COVID infections.

COVID-19 may be causing diabetes among some severely infected patients, studies find

Pharmasset abandoned Molnupiravir because of mutations.

When it was prescribed to women in Spain for HIV, look at the results:-

A total of 897 live births from 872 mothers were included. Overall the birth defects prevalence observed was 6.9% (95% CI 5.4-9.1).The most commonly reported birth defects types were in genital organs and urinary system (19 cases, 30.6%) and cardiovascular system (17 cases, 27.4%).

25 dead babies recorded.7 percent of the living had birth defects, which were in reproductive organs, urinary development and heart disease.

Looking at this data, the only strong takeaway ( so far) is that its more infectious. As expected, in the natural evolution of viruses….
