Had to look up what the hell Carbuncle and Sardius were, here's some helpful info to go with infographic.

The Breastplate (Exodus 28:10-30) - Worn over the Ephod was a square breastplate embroidered with gold. It held twelve precious stones set in gold filigree: sardius (ruby), topaz, carbuncle (garnet), emerald, sapphire, diamond, jacinth, agate, amethyst, beryl, onyx and jasper.

Crystals and conductive metals, was there something to the breastplates metaphysically or were they trying to replicate a processor/computer system from lost/partial/not understood tech?
