OK this link discusses trucker shortages - have they all died?
[link to dfw.cbslocal.com (secure)]

Most of us have read of the trucker shortage being blamed for the cargo ship backlog, offshore from Long Beach in Southern California for example. That what this article is saying, too. But with verified reports from around the country indicating massive die-offs in progress, is that what's happening here, too? If so, this is not going to get better. Not until they can train those Afghans and Haitians to be a responsible pool of employable OTR drivers.

Its hell driving on the freeways now and all those check-points, there are almost no rest stopps to dine anymore as they're almost all closed and bordercrossing now take hours instead of minutes. Its insane! No wonder truckers are quiting in droves. The pay is lousy too. Remember, these are essential workers but they never got a pay raise like the nurses etc etc. That work their ass off doing one of the most terrifying and stressful jobs there is and barely get noticed. Its a real shame. So their quiting! Do you blame them? Some may have gotten sick from the vaccine too. Some could have even died from the vaccine. How would we know? The media covers everything up now to protect Pfizer and the other criminals.

There is only ONE political party. The corporate party.

If you want change "you have to be the change" you want to see.

Make it so.....

Joe Biden's dept of Labor fired all Truck Drivers with a HAZMAT license if they had a criminal past.

This amounts to about 20% of US Truck drivers.

They are creating the shortage on purpose... this is all about control and a commie takeover.

There are no shortages of anything by drivers.

A!lot of them die of heart attacks. Thats a fact. I was even told this BY a guy that does the training to BE a truck driver. I guess if you add side effects from vaccines like Myocarditis and Pericarditis and heart inflamation you''re going to see an increase in mortality among that group

They have MUCH bigger plans than a simple commie takeover. This is about maximum chaos and casualties on the surface. They will implement their new government once most of us are gone. Until then, the name of the game is chaos. Pure and simple.

Once these guys are gone and the stores go empty, it takes time to hire and train a new trucker class. And who will want to go into such an uncertain career?

Re: OK this link discusses trucker shortages - have they all died?
Okay this is my theory because I saw the glp video on hundreds of truckers just waiting at harbor, IT'S THE CRANES that are not putting cargo from ships onto trucks, no trucker shortage

Where are all the Mexican workers,? I use to see them all everyday past 20+ years, yard work, roof work, construction, street cleaning, etc.,
Truckers are free wheeling independent workers they don't get vaxx, no need and they are rebels. TRUCKERS HAVE THE POWER to put a hold on this whole country; they can block roads & expressways, delay goods, rot food. They got POWER! Remember they were going to revolt in AUSTRALIA but then something didn't happen.
My theory is they are bringing in all these low IQ immigrants, training them to do trucker and Mexican worker jobs
Why?
Mexicans and Truckers love Trump. Love freedom & $ and independence & they vote Republican
This
lull is because soon Truckers will get vaxxed and or be REPLACED

I tried to get rehired at Knight Transportation out of Phoenix, AZ. Clean CDL, no violations and I previously worked for them. They passed on my application. This whole thing is being carried out to topple the economy.

This is not the problem. For the last 5 years, all we have heard is driving anything ax a career is over. Intelligent vehicles will replace drivers with cameras. So why would a person bother? Sadly, the AI vehicles rollout has proven much more difficult then promoted. So divers never applied and the computers and cameras drive worse than a teenager. A few cracks have appeared. Uber, for example, sold off its AI vehicle company after years and billions of dollars. Wonder why?

these fux never do anything for one reason but i think a part of it is to push the "drive" for driverless vehicles. which will lead to a ban or reduction of "driven vehicles" because right now the robo drivers dont play well with real drivers

Trucking companies are scared of the potential lawsuits of AI vehicle crashes and accidents. Too much liability for the company when there is no driver to charge with a crime.

for parcels much easier to drone it, no human traffic at low altitude

for freight they should have a couple dozen or so rail mega hubs spread around the country and have trucks haul 1-2 containers off the train a max of 4-8hrs from one of these depots. railways might need some investment but i bet there's plenty of capacity for 24/7 running

Re: OK this link discusses trucker shortages - have they all died?
This shipping crisis has been going on for months. Some one posted on U Tube driving along the coast showing a dozen ships parked off the coast waiting to be unloaded this was back last spring. People living in the Pudget sound have been complaining for months about the ships sitting in the sound for weeks. The ships need to keep their generators running th e sound of these ships is annoying to people and wildlife use to total quiet. All this has been going on for so long I wonder why just now someone it making a big deal out of this curiosity.

now when i think of it, you gave me an idea, i was about to say how the companies that create, produce these AI trucks should be criminally liable for all the accidents, this will be implemented, and at the same time, these same companies will take over the trucking ones making people jobless and the state will take over, everything will be merged and as Musolini said, finally FASCISM will be ushered in, merger of the country with the big corporations

Vanguard, Blackrock etc. all behind it

Re: OK this link discusses trucker shortages - have they all died?
Here's something that you may or may not know...

Due to the strict air pollution laws, in California, any 18 wheeler that is older than 3 years old can NOT pick up a load at any of the California ports. Just heard this little tidbit of information on the War Room...

This is one reason why Cargo containers are not being transported, from the ports, in a timely manner...

This just adds to the backlog...

So if your an independent Trucker. You have to have new Rigs every 3 years, in order to do business at any of the ports in California...

This is another nail in the coffin for business owners...

Re: OK this link discusses trucker shortages - have they all died?
I have a CDL, class A, air brake, double triple, tanker endorsements. I let my haz mat go because they made it too expensive to obtain. I have a motorcycle and chauffeur endorsements as well. Here is how it works since 2018, If you receive a ticket in your personal car and have a cdl the ticket goes against your cdl. There is a no masking rule for cdl license holders, what that is is this, say you get a 10 over in your personal car, you have 2 choices pay or contest in person in court.
When you appear there will be no bargaining, it is either dismissal or pay. When you pay, the points go against your cdl and you basically become a liability to the company hiring you because you have points. So most of my friends with cdl licenses view it as a HUGE liability to even have a commercial license and are going other directions.
Why have a gorilla on your back just to have a job that pays 30 an hour average?

I’m confused... there’s a major interstate (I40) in my state, runs east to west coast and every time I check the highway cams, it’s as busy with truck traffic as it’s ever been. If there was a shortage... wouldn’t there be less traffic?

Check the local Obits.

Compare deaths from Jan - Oct 2021 with deaths of the same months for 2019, 2018, etc.

And note the age of the person (look for those 40 and under) and look for words such as "died unexpectedly" or "died suddenly".

You'll see that people are in fact dying more and no one is reporting on it.

Re: OK this link discusses trucker shortages - have they all died?
I don’t know how much Truckers are paid.
I do know it is a hard job requiring skill. Time away from home.
The roads will be very dangerous if we have a large number of new drivers on the road.

From what I have observed, truckers who drive with two in the cab, usually (not always) are two brothers, a husband and wife, or some combination of family or close friends.

Are these former, not working truckers making more money from unemployment, child payments ( unusually high $$), going on disability, or what? More money or enough money to pay the bills and stay home.

Why are so many people, including Truckers (all respect) not working?

Restaurant owners do not have the help they need.
Local Kroger, (Pays employees well) has 30 minute lines to check out. Only 4 cashiers. Many shelves are bare.

WTH is happening?
How can this end? Certainly not quick enough.

trucker buddy says no shortage. Truck stops are packed you have to make reservations to get in there.

Tyrants are to blame. They need to be exterminated with prejudice.
