Current state of affairs

At this moment we are all sitting passively watching the fall of the last great empire. The last bastion of hope for humanity. The only place that still offers refuge to the ones who choose to seek it. With open arms and hearts we stand proud to offer the opportunities we have to those searching with pure intent.

Each of us showing great restraint and pride of understanding, we hold firm in our passion. That all men are created equal. The freedoms of an individual should never be challenged without recourse as long as they cause no harm to others.

Holding these truths strong individually in silence has lead us to a dry river bed where we will watch others come not knowing the ground is already cracked. With full bellies looking from the hill top we stand judging the ones that come told they could drink. Lost and filled with regrets, desperate to live is where we prove to ourselves the convictions we can share.
