On October 9, several CBP officers tasked with patrolling an international cargo facility in Pharr, Texas, saw a tractor-trailer come by for inspection as it tried to enter the country from Mexico.. the officers discovered 468 packages of methamphetamine. According to the officers’ report, the drug packages weighed about 1,179.47 pounds. The street value of the meth packages was estimated to be around $16,512,400.
