It's a trap to move everyone to digital money. Now you will NEED that internet. NEED that constant plugging in.

You have become the Matrix all the while chasing riches thinking you are escaping the system.

My life would be a whole lot easier if I had a Bitcoin for sure. Whatever people may say about BTC, it's a convenient way for us folks in Russia to get around all that Gvmt. bank bullshit and have a chance of actually getting up in life.

Stupid question, how do you cash in bitcoin? who gives you the cash?
 Quoting: Idaho Potato

No question is stupid.

Most BTC holders sell their BTC on centralized exchanges, like Coinbase and Kraken.

My Coinbase account is linked to my bank account, and sales proceeds get deposited in it.

You could always (not recommended) go back to the "old days" and sell paper wallets of BTC for cash, in sleazy bars or back alleys, if you want to get money "under the table."

When Bitcoin hits $64K and is then cut in half. That is the marker.

Coinbase fees are pretty brutal. I don't know what they are currently, as I haven't used them for some time.

Selling any crypto through a centralized exchange is totally open, and may be a capital gains event that your friendly IRS office will want to know about.

you get charged a % for selling BTC back to USD. the transfer to your linked bank account is free (assuming you use ACH transfers).
every transaction is taxable. whether you have to pay those taxes depends on your other income and if it, with the BTC sales, rises to the level of taxation.
