Very interesting synopsis, one I was actually mulling over this morning in a little less detail.

The highway they closed just prior to the actual eruption allows access to the crack on the western flank of the volcano and was the only egress option to locals in the event of an evacuation. Why would they close it? My first thought was they were bringing something in that they didn't want prying eyes to see, like maybe the device(s) they're going to use to trigger the landslide. Just a thought.

The lava hitting the ocean is unrelated to the mega-tsunami theory. There could possibly be a chunk of the lava delta that breaks loose and causes a small wave, but that would be nothing close to the scale of what has been said is a possibility. The mega-tsunami comes from a large chunk of the island, itself, breaking loose and collapsing in to the ocean. A large crack appeared after the eruption in the 1940s, that land is weakened as a result, and that's where the big one could come from. Nobody knows when it will happen, though. It could be tonight, or it could be 20 eruptions from now.

Interesting theory, but its just incompitent and greedy fucks running this shit show. This problem started last year and they have done nothing, and I mean literally nothing about it.

If anything, its by design and collusion by corporations and gubs to get that stimulus money through “shortages”, and increased tax revenue bu higher prices.. Or, miliions have died, millions more than they have said, and this is the real problem. It would fall in nicely with opening borders and “resetting” the work force.

I suspect greed and intentional incompitence though. Most every company blew through standing inventories last year and this is just a convenient way to keep prices high while they reap a windfall a and a great example of why a desperate “infrastructure” bill is “needed”.

Because getting supplies unloaded in New York or Baltimore or Miami, right after a mega-tsumani wiped them off the map, would be logistically challenging.
