I was thinking about this yesterday while watching Al Jazira, (which I don't normally do). It's a superficial observation, but I thought that the whole presentation model of world TV journalistic news is cringeworthy in it's earnestness or jocularity - all so planned. The journalists have robot like similar personalities. I suppose I mean it is very formulaic now.
It is like watching some TV from the seventies and laughing at the unsophisticated clothes they would be wearing then.
I cannot offer any serious analysis to your question other than the whole sha-boogle is terribly outdated.
