Some words to ponder on......

Alright I gotta get going to work. I hope everybody has a good one. Let's see if we can skew things by each one of us that comes across this post take it upon themselves to do something really good today to restore some love.

I'm going to fill up my truck today and I'm going to just walk up to someone else and fill their tank too.

The bible (and its two related Abrahamic religious books) are the LAST sources I would look to for lessons on Love.

The three of them are the root cause (or tool) of the most horrible and hateful events in mankind’s history, all the way to the present day.

For lessons on Love, I would look to almost anything that has nothing to do with religion.

So just to complete this post I did do what I said with filling someone's car.

I pulled up to the Shell to put some diesel in my Duramax. As I was filling up I looked around and literally right next to me was an older gal. She was probably in her late 70s to early 80s.

She had an old Buick Lesabre and the gas cap was giving her hell. I came over and offered some help. She showed me her poor hands gnarled with arthritis and thanked me. As I undid her gas cap I turned around and slid my card into the pump. She couldn't understand what I was doing and why.

I told her just because. I then topped off her washer fluid with some RainX brand I keep in my toolbox and washed her windshield and her windows.

We then proceeded to talk for about 10 minutes. Apparently I was WAAAY off on her age. She was a nurse in the Korean War. She was 91. She was a widow living on social security and was struggling to keep fuel in her car and food on her table.

I had a 50 dollar Publix gift certificate in my wallet so I gave it to her.

I'm not trying to flaunt or say look I'm so charitable. I'm just saying the satisfaction of helping a literal female hero who served her country and was still being so brave at 91 living on her own and facing all of today's insanity by herself with minimal family interaction was something I've seldom felt.

I ended up giving her my business card with my cell number and told her of she needs anything to not hesitate to call.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to reply on. I hope everyone has a kick ass Thursday.
