The thing that most people seem to be missing here is that this is exactly what the TPTB want to happen. These "sick-ins" and "walkouts", give the government the justification they need to declare an emergency and thus nationalize these sectors of the economy. Not only does that help centralize their power even further but it also allows them to fill the vacant positions with more communists. Rinse and repeat.
