Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80984760 Only because of how many people old king James hired to rewrite it all page by page, with dozens of versions of some chapters left to be found by historians. Perhaps king James wanted people behaving in a specific way back then; perhaps the edits are divinely inspired by God to change wordings of lessons so that people advanced in learning as the times changed. What’s blasphemous in the KJV? That's their way of trying to cast doubt. It's an old trick of Satans but still widely used. I would hate to stand before God and explain to him why I thought the book he inspired was blasphemous. It is coming, as foretold. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79665455 Really? Reconcile these verses. Joh 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? 1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Whoever believes in Christ will never die.... since believers in Christ will never die, and we don’t, who WERE the dead in Christ? They just can’t make up their mind what happens after death. Thank God we as believers are taken out of our bodies before death comes. That is the blessed hope for all believers, at least for the ones that understand. Only the believers who are still alive, however. Christian cemeteries are full of dead believers who have died. And if the rapture doesn’t happen in your lifetime you too will have to die. |

User ID: 80117407 United States 10/10/2021 07:14 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just can't get behind the rapture doctrine. Seems kind of arrogant to me. After all in the 2000 years of Christianity, God didn't step into rapture or save even one single martyr from torture and death; including John the Baptist, who was righteous enough in Jesus' eyes to baptize him. But, then now, God is going to step in and save a bunch of Western Christians who have not even yet really tasted persecution for their beliefs. Seems to me like they think they are more righteous than John the Baptist and all the other Christian martyrs combined. But Christians, many of them believe the body/soul lies dead in the cemetery until Jesus returns and resurrects them back to life. That is why they long for the Rapture, so they don’t ever have to be dead/dead. |

Mark 13:32 "So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. 30Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. 31Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:" Why doesn't the Son of God know? I don't even know what I will eat tomorrow. God might know. I never know when I'll pull the trigger on another cheese sandwich. But I would be happy to send a sign. 230 here, but 0 there. |

That is why they long for the Rapture, so they don’t ever have to be dead/dead. Yes but bodily resurrection is another fallacy. Take a look at what Paul says about the resurrection. Read the verses and figure what “it” is. He’s tells you what it is in verse 45. 1Co 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 1Co 15:43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
