We're going to be seeing a lot more of this unfortunately. I work in the animal feed industry and containers of ingredients just aren't being shipped. We have struggled all summer. The prices more than doubled and now certain things just aren't available.

I think a lot of these companies also import things like dehydrated vegetables from China. China is a HUGE producer of these things. All of that stuff is likely waiting off the port of Los Angeles for delivery.

Re: BREAKING: Augason Farms shutters for 90 days. Can't fill orders!
I knew it was coming a year or more ago, they started having trouble when covid hit. Before that they had monthly sweeps for a years supply (I won the very last one they had)

The vegetables are good, the beef SUCKS (I couldn't even get the dogs to eat it) and the chicken tastes like the chicken in the Lipton dry soup mix...but if you are hungry.....

I ordered from them many times before covid, but they just never could replenish after the start
 Quoting: Serepta Ann

As for the taste I have tried several of theirs I will recommend the powdered real butter, the black bean burger mix all the entrees are good the country gravy is good add some tvp sausage and it is great.

But right now I am adding bulk basics rice and beans and a lot of whole grains and seeds.
I dont think long term packaged is going to be needed!

Amazon has stock and prime delivery. Just ordered a couple of cans of powdered eggs; arrives Tuesday.

Amaranth is also a good long shelf life protein; only need a tablespoon per day to help stay alive.

.
... so for 90 days they are non-existent??????? ...
.
... they going out of business???? ...
.

 Quoting: wisconsin

No, it means for 90 days they arent accepting any new orders.

They are basically trying to catch up back orders.

The demand for their products increased while their supplies decreased.

I went to the HSN website because they sell Augason Farms at pretty decent prices. Almost everything is sold out. People beat me to it

It's getting serious to the point where the general public is going to get aware of it now. I've been jumping up and down and screaming about those container ships for a few weeks now.

Don't forget if they can't get the stuff, there won't be any beer!

Also if there's a shortage of ingredients for ready made food, the priority is going to be people food not pet food. So prep for your pets

It makes sense. Ive been buying as much Agasson Farms food as possible since the news came out they may ban the non-vacciated from grocery shopping.

They immediately ran out of food (they likely were alredy low on supply), good company.

They couldn't fill orders and quit selling until they could to keep a positive view of a great company.

I mean people order this item mainly through Amazon. Its no suprise they are out.

keep stacking
 Quoting: NikM755

Ban the non-vaxxed from normal shopping for food and all hell will break loose. I am wondering why so many vaxx-pusher-politicans around the world are still alive.

I'm still salty that mountain house stopped selling their pilot bread crackers in 2020. They were danged good crackers!
Can't hardly find them anywhere, and when you can they price them like they are a collectors item.

This world is stupid.
 Quoting: InterdimensionalShadowMonster

Same here. Bought 6 cans just before they discontinued.

Look on eBay for the other brand that comes in smaller cans. Still long shelf life. Pricey though.

Yikes. If this was normal food production I would just strug it off. However, one has to wonder in these trouble times if FEMA, DOD, or someoene else bought up all their production and this is just a cover for that.
 Quoting: Bud Fox

I've believed that for a while. All kinds of things I got pre COVID in 2019 are no longer available in #10 cans. For example, shredded cheeses. Cheese is produced in the USA, it should be available. I think the govt is buying it all.

Be careful and you can avoid chines food. If it has he name of a company on it in the USA that doesn't mean it is made here. Be careful of terms like "Packaged by", that almost always means it's made in china.

Pillow mans pillows are completely made in china, the only thing they do here in he USA with it is stuff the recycled Chinese underdrawers into the case and sew the end of the pillowcase, thats it, and put it in a plastic bag with a "Made in USA" label..

Contrary to popular belief, not all products coming from China are of poor quality. Most of the quality decisions are made by the importer.

Another way of putting it: if a chinese made product is inexpensive, then it's likely low quality. If a chinese product is expensive, then it is likely very high quality due to labor costs being lower there. The importer made the decision to tell them to produce a high quality product.

I have ordered several $100+ kitchen knives that were made in China that were every bit as good as a Japanese or German made kitchen knife.

Someone posted a video here, within the last couple or three months, of another guy who is a retailer of these types of foods. I think his main vendor was Mountain something. He was standing in his storage room and discussing how he was having a very hard time getting his orders filled back then. I think it's been an ongoing problem since the inception of the scamdemic.

And you don't want that shit! Make sure whatever food you buy is not from China. When it comes to ingredients of prepared foods, it gets even harder. I think you'd have to contact the manufacturer to find out where they source certain products.

I was recently going to buy a bag of pumpkin seeds and all of the brands (three or four), in the grocery store, came from China. WTF? We can't grow pumpkins in the US?

Just remember how the Chinese killed so many people's beloved dogs with their dirty ingredients.

augasonfarms(dot)com

There is no "shortage" You can still buy their products from other vendors but not the Augason Farms website. They are busy fulfilling orders from their vendors.

"Due to an extremely high order volume through all sales channels we are currently not able to receive any orders through our web site. All orders previously placed will still be shipped.
Augason Farms Products are still available through other national sales channels both on line and in-store and also through other reputable on-line vendors. We expect to turn this site back on just as soon as possible.
As a manufacturer we are intent on making sure our vendors inventory is top priority.
Thank-you for choosing Augason Farms."
