Nope, worked SAP SAR blackbox Darp programs, we are decades behind the russians and even chinese on technology.

Russia experimented with nuclear powered missiles, engines decades ago. Biggest issue was radioactive isotopes leaving the combustion chamber. The engines are simple in nature. Unless they've figured out a way to scrub the isotopes present in the thrust, which they may have....

I had the access, since recently retired. Worked very deep in this shit. Wont go into specifics, but due the russians focusing on missile tech, there is no need for airpower. Thinking about it is logical in nature. Then you have te chinese who pretty much have been handed everything, and then took the tech in a new direction. Dont get me wrong, we have cool shit, it just is subpar to what the other countries have. IN the event of war, unless nuclear we will not fair very well.

No, not quit. LOL. Like I said, the US focused over the years on mobile units, aircraft carriers, planes, arms of the military that can extend around the world. The Russians focused 1000% on real term warfare which is predominantly defensive, with some offensive capabilities. Thus they poured R&D into missile and other tech that would defeat stealth aircraft, etc. The US is way behind, many tech issues that we cannot solve that they have. Then you have the notion that we leave our shit behind in other countries and the russians and chinese gladly pay for the tech from our enemies and that saves them money on R&D and the ability to work on countermeasures. We are our own worse enemy...
