My Mac auto updates to the newest versions, but I’m guessing there is some reason others haven’t used the Big Sur or whatever update it’s on now.

Thank you so much for your help. It worked perfectly. I was really confused of why this all started and how to fix it.

Mac over 5 years old now and I have done a total of 3 updates on the last two days. Yeah, my connectivity was absolutely sucking for the 3-4 days before that.

Weird thing is, yesterday was one OS update and a Safari update. I thought I was done. Today, another “support” update appeared and I ran it too. That finally got it for me. Idon’t run a lot of long video in my stream, but it’s pretty normal for me to have 12 or so tabs in 2 browsers, with photos, music and what’s app running at the same time.

My older Macs keep on ticking even after Apple has stopped supporting them with updates. Eventually they progress into Linux boxes. I’ve never had one break. My wife on the other hand goes through PCs like crazy.

I have a 2008 MacBook running Linux and it's a sweet little machine.
My main laptop is a 2007 HP compaq also running Linux and NO issues... Ever.
Mac I can still appreciate, but windows is a fucking disaster yet so many people use that rubbish.

I had to buy a new Mac last year after my old one died. I like the nice screen and how sleek they are, but I feel like it’s slower.

I got one of the new Minis. They aren’t expensive, for a mac, and it’s fast as lightning. I don’t know why your new mac would be slower. Turn off all the automatic background tasks (updates, icloud, time machine, etc) and see what happens. Updates can be a pain with a Mac because of the way they do it, download everything at once. Linux is much better, just download the packages that need updating, not the whole frickin OS.

Wipe that Mac OS shit off and load a proper Linux distro if you really want to fix your Mac and the Apple econazisystem.

It's a nasty feeling, my paranoia of pachouli kicks in to overdrive when I see an Apple fanboy.

Now imagine the number of Windows users, and you'll need your skin removed with a blowtorch, not a shower!

I can never understand how the people on here who are at the very least partially awake (most, not all!) would use an OS created by the very person they claim to abhor.
It makes zero sense, but then again people in general make zero fucking sense.
The same applies to FB and Twatter and all the ridiculously blatant NWO shit out there.
If you're going to be conspiracy minded then at the very least try and actually BE conspiracy minded.
It's probably all just too much for the average briandead Tard out there to get their heads around.

I have not used Windows forever. I ran an IT department and when the Windows people came around we always ended up in a fight and me kicking them out. Bill Gates is a freaking Demon!

Not really, but I get your drift. I'm a linux user but at my slave encampment and for other enterprise uses I use windows.

Never understood the apple fan club thing..

Now android comes along.. 3 operating systems...

I really like android Linux, because you can pretty much get any app, modded...

Windows, I always used.. Used apple in school.. But it never made say I want an apple...

I always wanted the most powerful computer to play any games... If i ever did... Which now I'm older I don't really play any ...

But I'm sure apple might be good... Windows is good.. But i really like apk'ing everything...

Android will soon rival windows in the coming years.. But still has further to go..

That's my thoughts on Mac..

I knew a lot of Linux people myself included would use Macs at work. The backend is a *nix like OS you can run pretty much any *nix programs etc. I did 90% of my work on Linux as did my programmers and network guys.

Why infect your good hardware with such crap?

Actually two OS's, Android, Mac, and Linux are all Unix based.

I went Mac in 2003. Had the gross misfortune of owning a millennial PC. Tears. Cussing. Constant problems even after they “fixed” it. I’ve never gone back but, have debated getting a Chromebook or something similar for work.
