I hope so. About to try to use my VA loan to buy a little place with some ground outside town. Then sell my current to some group like this. I bought it cheap, did some interior, but needs siding, windows etc to be worth what its appraised at. I should still make some good money though. Use about 20% of that money to become debt free. And the rest to the VA loan.....should all work out with me even steven. With my vehicles and new homestead paid. |

There comes a point where people just won't be able to afford them and the market will have no choice but to come down. The entire real estates recovery is an illusion. It's going to collapse again. Doesn't matter if the "supply is low", it all comes down to if people have income to afford them. We all know the economy is in horrible shape and it's getting worse. It could be the most major factor affecting real estate prices today. I know it is a lot (not disagreeing with you), but you do have to remember that Blackrock owns less than 2% of the homes in the country. But the bottom line is, people will find a way around it if they need to. They will find a home to share with 5 people if needed. That will leave a lot of homes unrented, thus prices will come down. Or they will do the same with an apartment. As they say, the cure for high prices is high prices. Vanguard, Principal Real Estate Investors, Principal Global Investors, BlackRock, PGGM, JPMorgan, etc., a.k.a. all the usual suspects, all of whom own each other. [link to mileswmathis.com] |
