It's not even a secret that famous musicians have sex with underage girls. They have for decades. The majority of the so called "groupies" averaged in age from 13-16. I remember going to hard rock shows when I was in Jr. High.. Motley Crue, Ratt, Scorpions, etc. I would often see girls from my school, 6-8th graders wearing the special backstage necklaces and the only reason they got them, was because they were specially chosen by roadies to go and "meet" the band.

Why stop at R.Kelly?

He gave a number of the children herpes and other STD's knowing full well he had an outbreak at the time.

Read the free online book I linked earlier of how he imprisoned girls, cut them off from their families, forced them to use drugs. Many ended up in the hospital.

You're not wrong. I'd bet that nearly every famous band / singer, male or female, straight or gay, has had underage groupies come along. And it still happens now, but people are more discreet about it.

There is a difference though, certainly in perception although not really legally, between not checking the birthdate of every groupie and going out of your way to look for the ones who you shouldn't be looking for. R Kelly seems to be accused of being more in the latter camp.
