Your father, family and you are in my prayers. My aunt had a stroke 20 years ago and it was probably the scariest thing I’ve seen, I hope his case isn’t too bad. God bless man, stay strong for your pops, it’ll help.

He does get another chance, one that has no end once it starts. When you are asleep in the grave it is a dreamless sleep and then you are part of the Re:20:4-5 resurrections.

Your dad will make it through, rehab may take time, but if they got to him in time with some love, care, and good rehabilitation schedule life can many times get back to normal.

The last part that may help you is that it is better he is there, and you are where you are, rather than the tables were turned as he would be having even more 'issues' than you are dealing with.

what state? my dad had a stroke in Florida, and the people there were humane; they actually let me stay with him overnight, which is not allowed by hospital policy.

However, during the afternoon, i was there helping him use the urinal, bedpan, so the nurses were like, "thank you so much for your help." Cause of the meds being given, my dad was confused, but he recognized me and my sister so whenever we came, he was chill. But with the nurses, total jerk.

Anyway, i told the nurses, look, if i stay the night, ill take care of the bedpan, urinal, make sure the lines don't come out. So the nurse was like, ok, as long as you don't go to the nursing station and the supervisor sees you.

Overall, it was a good experience and nobody ever asked about the clotshot, although we made it known he didn't want it.

I feel like if people know how medicine works, and you stand up to the medical staff, they see you as, "oh shit, this one can see" and they treat you somewhat with respect.
