In central Missouri.

Hate to think what a fillup is costing in states with REALLY high prices.

The new normal is creeping up on us.

That's not the point. Everything is going up. Us that drive trucks feel it the most cause the tanks are so big.

Milk, meat, bacon regular food has gone up.

Reading GLP while I ‘fill’ my Tesla. It just finished and took $4.93, but we have some of the most expensive electricity in the country. 28c/kWh. The car shows 351 miles of range now. Can’t wait to get my Cybertruck!
 Quoting: Westsail

.28/kWh is pretty cheap power. That's barely tier 2 in PG&E land.

Tier 3 and 4 is when it starts to get pricey.

Everything is going up. Paper products. Geez. A whole chicken at the store is like $12. It wasn't that long ago that a chicken cost $3-4.

$225 to fill up my 2020 RAM 3500 Cummins HO with an added 40 gallon fuel cell.

Made is from Wisconsin to Tennessee, then halfway back on a tank.

Are we still trusting the Plan?

Imagine driving to and back from a job to get $100 then having to pay the gas bill for that.

NO SORRIES given.

Your choice to buy that truck. I fucked up like you did years ago when I had a BMW x-5. At the time it cost me 120.00 to fill it up. After a while I sold the damn X-5 and bought a cheap ass car that only costed me 23.00 to fill up.

Won't let the system get me EVER again.

Good thinking!!

Buy a vehicle with a smaller gas tank. Gas is cheaper per gallon that way.

Some of us who actually work for a living need a truck. Daily. Not my problem that you bought a status symbol rather than something useful.

... so what powers your electric system? ...

Mostly solar during the day. Here in the tropics we have more solar capacity than we can use. One of my clients is involved in building out a grid scale storage solution. The hope is to eliminate fossil fuels entirely for local energy production before 2030.

Took me all of 5 minutes to fill the F-250, how long did it take to stuff the electrons into your $10,000 battery?
 Quoting: Copperhead

Usually we just charge at night in the garage like plugging in a smartphone. The DC public charger I was using is at a grocery store and does about 180 miles in 20 minutes.

... ah!!! ... here at 45 latitude we don't always have SUNSHINE or WIND so we have to rely on that "DIRTY" power from fossil fuels ...
