Grind whole beans. Always a dark roast. Fill and boil water. Put ground beans in press pot. Let out the chickens. That takes about 5 minutes. Then come in and push the plunger down.

Nectar of the gods.
No good deed goes unpunished.

Re: Tell us about your coffee setup
The best coffee is that which requires the least work, money and time. I use a very large cup - at least 32 oz, and put

two heaping teaspoons of Great Value instant coffee

two teaspoons of Great Value powdered cocoa mix

three teaspoons of Great Value powdered creamer

Add water when the electric kettle clicks off, stir, and leave the teaspoon in the cup to cool it off. Carry back to the computer and keep reading or posting.

Great Value products are conveniently located at your local Walmart. If it's bedtime, just use the instant decaffeinated version.

I have both a Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista, and a Ninja Hot and Cold brewing system I just bought. I think I'm going to retire the Mr. Coffee. The ninja easily makes a 32oz latte. I replicated Arizona green tea with it. It makes a good regular pot of coffee, too.

Is the Ninja Hot good? I used to have a cappuccino maker, but it was a pain in the ass to use.

My husband and I are looking for a good coffee/latte/cappuccino maker.

I love it, and it's super easy to use. The only downside is it doesn't steam milk. You have to either warm it in the microwave or on the stove before frothing. It has a "specialty" brew setting that makes 4oz of espresso for any of the specialty drinks you want to make. I use it for lattes and it tastes just like what you would get from a high end coffee shop.

You just need to microwave or warm the milk on the stove. It works out the same.

Kenco Columbian. 2 unrefined demerara sugars. A dash of milk being careful not to over milk. Strong but smooth.
