Barista Pro from Breville. Took some time to learn how to dial in the machine. Well worth it.

This is what I have and it also took awhile to dial in the grind.

I use aeropress every day and honestly even though it's not like Im buying top-quality beans, anything other than home-brewed coffee tastes rather bad. I used to have a clever dripper and it was pretty good too, but one of my kids broke it and now I cant find it anywhere.

Burr grinder, French press, Peet's French Roast, drunk from a mason jar. If I can see any daylight through it, it's weak.

Plain old drip coffee maker. I think the one we have now is a Black and Decker. Kirkland dark roast or Kaldi Highlander Grogg. We're not fanatics, we're addicts.

Gaggia Classic Pro OPV 6.5bar, PID modded + Eureka Mignon Specialita modded for single dosing. I use RO'd water + thirdwave mixed into a gallon. Will try any coffee, any roast level as long as there is a roast by date on the bag.

I will admit, I overdo everything if it fits financially. Old school script kiddy turned adult, I guess.

I love coffee, pretty much the only thing I splurge on.

I have a Breville Precision Brewer that I use everyday. I have the pour over adapter too but never use it. I grind my coffee every morning with an Oxo grinder.

I also have a Bodum French Press, and a Hario V60 glass pour over set I use with a Bonavita gooseneck kettle.

For tea I got the Hario "Witch's Ball".

Freshly roasted coffee delivered every week by mail.

Today at work I poured a pack of hot chocolate mix into this and added hot coffee and some half & half. You press the button to stir it up. It's my Moo Moo Mocha. Frothy good.

I just made a peanut butter chocolate latte.. pretty good, but I have to adjust some ingredient proportions to make it perfect. I made my own peanut butter sauce with real peanut butter, honey, a little water and an pinch of sodium citrate (emulsifier)

I have a Keurig in the master bedroom, a Keurig in the basement, a Keurig in my refrigerator door, a drip maker on my kitchen counter, and a Late/Espresso maker stuck in my pantry I hardly ever use. I have a huge box of K-cups (coffee and tea) in the pantry, and a box of beans on my kitchen counter.

I’m a former award winning, super successful Coffee House owner. Coffee is a fun art and we master it!
So at home naturally I would have the Brevelle Barista Pro! Espresso is the only way to go for a strong cup. Love this coffee in the am. I double pull each porta filter and because I live rural, I mix canned evaporated milk with canned Crema for cream. I also like it black but prefer adding the smooth cream to it.

Re: Tell us about your coffee setup
Got a nice little Melita filter coffee maker , the jug is insulated and keeps it hot so weekends I spend the morning trawling through the internet and have hot coffee when I need a top up

Tried all brands of ground coffee and honestly really prefer the Aldi Italian number 5

I have ground my own beans but still go back to this as its got a definite chocolately taste going on

Have various teapots as I love to do the whole afternoon tea thing - home made scones and a pot of tea , lovely !!

Like a loose leaf tea and my favourite is PG Tips

My son likes green tea made in the pot with the loose green tea .....

And , camomile tea at bedtime , nice and soothing

I haven't used the Hario enough to get really good at it yet. The Breville makes a really, really good cup of coffee in the mean time though. Cool thing about the Breville is that you can put the Hario dripper in instead of the normal basket.

Look up Japanese cold brew with V60. You basically put ice in the carafe and adjust ratio of pour to account for it. I am a huge fan of iced/cold brews over hot and the Japanese style with V60 brings out some incredible tasting coffee.

Re: Tell us about your coffee setup
We lost everything in a flood like situation.
So I only have the bare necessities.

I pour water into my mug to measure, pour that into the electric water kettle, while it's heating I put the hand held strainer on my mug and put the grounds in it.

By then the water is heated and I pour it over the grounds in the strainer.

Sometimes I mix the grounds up while it's sitting in the mug- kinda like pressing them.

Them k cups are so expensive and so much plastic waste.

Fast, easy and huge return for the effort.

Machine grind.

Bunn machine with the warmer, all glass and steel. No plastic shit.

Of course I have a stainless pot with a cable to make coffee over a fire.

Pick your poison.

I have an Espresso Machine that I bought at Goodwill. It was $5 but I bought it on 50% of day so I paid 2.50 for it.

My black and decker coffee maker broke, so last week I went to Goodwill and got a Mainstays Programmable Coffee Maker for 8 dollars.

Dude! I got massive amounts of coffee in stash. I could get by for at least 3 months without buying any. To add to the post, I use a Bunn coffee maker. Made in the USA! I'll brew it then pour about 1/2 the pot into a large cup then pour that back over the grounds. It's fucking delicious. All the oils of the coffee really come through.

Also, I use a screen basket and not filters. White filters have dioxin in them. I drink my coffee black and strong! French roast or bold coffee is usually all I get, but I do have beans from all over the world in stock. Central America, Africa, Indonesia, Hawaii, Jamaica, etc. I never drink the same coffee twice in a row.

Yep, that's amazing when SHTF and pressing the button doesn't work.

Is this post about those who can provide coffee when SHTF or noobs who want to talk shit about their soon to be useless coffee machines?

SHTF and electric goes out, I'll have your $5 per cup heated and ready for you. They'll have a dead machine.
