My friend had this same problem. She moved From Maryland to Florida and the moving company lost stuff and was weeks late. When I talk to her I will see if it's the same company

Thanks. We booked the move via Alliance Moving and Storage who brokered the shipment to AMM Trucking LLC.

No I’m not. But I’m thinking you set up another move. Trojan horse. They come get it and put in their warehouse. What happens next is up to you. 100lbs of rotting fish. GPS tracker so you’ll know where they took your shit. All kinds of crazy bouncing around my skull.

I've been in touch with a few moving companies in California. They have told me there is crazy high demand right now to move out of the state. We both agreed it's quite sad, but not surprising given the policies that are taking place. California is going to go through a painful correction period, if it ever does recover.

My advice: move yourselves if at all possible. BTW, we finally got our stuff on October 2, but they picked up our stuff on July 20th. and kept us in the dark the whole time. They also showed up unannounced--good thing we were home.

Wow OP - early last week my brother in law moved from Utah to Florida last week - the truck with their stuff on it broke down and they are still without their furnishings.

A year ago you couldn't find a u-haul truck to move out of California - not surprised its still that way a year later....

This is happening right now with a friend of mine. But I have no sympathy for him or you OP. You went with the lowest cheapest bid you could get. SO now live with that decision. Lots of very reputable moving companies but they are higher priced for a reason as you and my friend now see first hand.

Re: Has anyone hired a moving company recently and not received their goods? We did and are in a nightmare.
So let’s start here truckers are being pulled in all directions atm, price of freight is up so I’d assume more profitable loads are taking president over yours. You should have a manifest of all items packed and shipped. After 30 days tell the moving company you need insurance info so you can have your belongings replaced that will light a fire under their ass.
im the new cancer.

Sometimes they put it in storage until they plan on going that way. Do you know if they put your stuff in storage
 Quoting: KuvaszLove

They claim it's in a warehouse, but I suspect storage unit, best case or theft of my packed gun safe, so now they are just stalling. Check AMM Trucking LLC on FB. Many horror stories being told. They appear to be a criminal outfit. We had no idea the moving company was brokering our load.

Re: Has anyone hired a moving company recently and not received their goods? We did and are in a nightmare.
Moving company owner here....I bet you went with the cheap guys. Trusted all of your stuff to the lowest bid. Nice job!! I deal with this all the time. I hear potential customers say, "Oh your price is too high, I can get this done for half of the price". Now you know why it was half the price because you get half of your stuff LOL. They sell the rest to make up the difference for their low ball price to you.

Was the company you hired insured? Did you ask to see a copy of their insurance like you should have? Then contact their insurance company and file a claim. The insurance company is more then likely not a fraud and will help you.

You will get it...

5 Days isn't that long for that type of move.

Hope you got insurance.
