Work with me on this GLP?

So I just moved, right near the Kroger where the mass shooting took place.

I live directly behind a Home Depot. I can see through a small strip of trees at what's going on in the back of the store.

There are multiple containers waiting to be unloaded, a shit ton of lumber waiting to be brought into the store and numerous vendor trailers parked in the back.

Yet, to go into the store... basic framing lumber is over twice what it was 18 months ago. Many shelves have empty boxes acting as place holders for the actual product. And the prices for EVERYTHING is high.

They always "look" like they are about to run out of lumber... yet, they haven't.

Just thinking out loud. I know retailers have lost a shit ton of money over the last couple years. Maybe a "shortage" is what was needed to make enough "extra money" to offset the losses?
