Quoting: amplified2 If we didn't see anything fly past us big enough to cause that, then it was something on the surface...eh? Just my thought. Im just wondering if ISIS was doing training on Jupiter Maybe I'm just an idiot, but what "surface" is there on jupiter? I thought it was just gas? I want to send a rocket ship full of scientists that claim Jupiter is a big ball of gas with a little tiny core. This rocket will travel 100000 mph straight through Jupiter. If it hit something and explode too bad so sad. Trust your science muthafawka. Bucket And Mop |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78252909 Mexico 09/24/2021 10:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's the imaginary plane that hit the Pentagon right in the missing-2-trillion-dollar-accounting-wing of the Armed Forces. It entered a mini black hole one nano-second prior to impact; a black hole which also sucked in all of the surrounding light, which then caused the 400 security cameras of the Pentagon to register absolutely jack-squat. It was then flung into orbit somewhere behind the dark side of the moon and had been cruising slowly towards Jupiter ever since. ==> this is probably more credible than the fairy tales of the official govern'mental narrative in the great 9/11 books of gargantuan lies. |

Senior Forum Moderator 09/24/2021 10:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah I heard about this back when it happened. Didn't feel like making a thread on it. I'm honestly just getting sick of getting called a hoaxer, shill, liar, etc. Amateur astronomers are observing the planets quite vigilantly, which is why about 9 different people saw this impact simultaneously. I wouldn't call the object that did this "enormous." If it were, it would have left an impact scar on the planet, but it didn't. The size was estimated at 20 meters. [link to www.universetoday.com (secure)] A larger impact in 2009 left a visible scar that was discovered by an amateur astronomer. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] I was wondering about not leaving a scar because I remember the scars left by that broken-up asteroid/comet that hit Jupiter a while back. Could this have possibly been something that exploded from Jupiter's surface rather than something hitting it? It exploded and vaporized too high in the altitude to leave a "scar." Jupiter doesn't have a surface, but if something exploded in the deeper layers then it definitely would have disrupted the upper cloud layers and caused a mixing of composition that would be visible as a "scar." |

Quoting: Deplorable Zenobia Impacts like this are typically from asteroids or comets that originated in our solar system. Very, very, very few interstellar objects have been observed. OK, I'm a newb in space science/history and totally get we're flyin' thru' space getting hit by rocks and trash satellites. Which our shields have traditionally protected us until they become thin (for lack of a better term). I was under impression that our our whole system was traversing thru' a different part of galaxy where there's just more debris than what we've already experienced. Glad to see you, Astro! Knowing you're on FL coastline, was wondering if you and folks down there keeping sharp eyes on La Palma activity. And thought struggles against the results, trying to avoid those unpleasant results while keeping on with that way of thinking. Jupiter has fielded dangerous objects like these for billions of years...without it, the surface of the Earth would resemble swiss cheese. |
