I have a mobile overlooking a field with two horses on one side and a forest behind the backyard. Rural quiet no crime etc. yet only 3-4 miles to lots of and stores, food, schools etc. and close to the beach as well. It needs a little work courtesy of the last pos renters who sublet it without my permission, which is legal in my blue tard state where landlords of affordable housing and not gougers are discriminated against. So i will not be repairing and sinking money in it to find out the tenant suddenly can't pay for whatever reason and will not have to pay "legally" as well... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80062619 For people who think landlords, a legal term i abhor, are all bad people well let's just say the amount of times my renters got in arrears and the times they did things any other landlord would of kicked them to the curb is very high. I had police staking the place out at one time to my dismay, looking for the renters cousin...I only evicted one couple and they destroyed the place, had 11 cars in the yard and their friends hung out all day working on cars. They left booze bootles all over, tools, etc while letting their baby play in the yard, they had two and another on the way... My yard became their mobile garage spot... illegal, no insurance, etc. That's the bs "landlords" deal with. By the way rent was $550 a month...idiots. Good post! I have similar stories. Might buy a small piece of agriculturally zoned land to park my camper, and fence for dogs etc. Crazy times. If I were you I would buy a piece of small farm somewhere remote and build a log house quick. Cheap and secure. Hunker down and meditate with some Alan Watts and Sri Nisagardatta Maharaj books/audio. But I can't , I'm a renter with no capital to buy anything now. So you better use what you have good. Get some dewalt batteries, kit and lights, solar charger and a couple of batteries. Log burner , food and ammo. You'll be mint. And get a greenhouse too with some grow lights and a aquaponic system. |
