I too have been exploring a small rv setup. you would think that you could buy a small plot of land and put an RV on it but NO, you have to be in an area that specifically allows you to live in an RV. They distinguish between RV's and Mobile homes and the mobile home is probably the way to go. You can get an older one and fix it up cheap. There are big taboos when you want to live in an RV, so dont run and buy one without researching it. Dr Know |

People can't even find a long-term rental in my area of Georgia. Of course, it's a tourist area, so that makes it easier. City landlords with properties in so-so neighborhoods are the ones getting hammered because they can't turn them into short-term rentals and their renters are not secure financially. Nobody is "financially secure" during a democrat administration and or majority in the house. Have been a long term holder of real estate. Been selling as much as i can over the last 8 months and still unwinding. Fuck this nonsense. Maybe or maybe not it is a good time to sell…i just dont care because im uncertain and i will be fine either way. More so if there are no worries. So bye! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 52660218 You sound broke. I’m not sure what part of the country your in, but a lot of people I know are selling their long term rentals and buy vacation rentals. Depending on the location you can make a lot more money. You don’t have to worry about the government blocking evictions. Quoting: JB1969 Interesting idea. Europe doesn’t want us back. ...or they get the fear of god into you and get you to voluntarily sell that tangible real estate and then Blackstone eventually still gets the property and you end up with nothing but devalued dollars (eventually nothing) in exchange... This is timed. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79406972 All I am saying is you need to get something physically in your hands to replace those real assets with because this will be the greatest transfer of real wealth into nothing almost overnight. What do you suggest? Had some business at a lawyers office yesterday Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19876247 Another lady was in the waiting room and wanted to go ahead of our appointment- without one She said it was important Turns out she has squatters in her rental house and can’t get access to do renovations It’s been TWO WEEKS since she got the police and a lawyer involved The police WILL NOT SERVE THE WARRANT because of “Covid” One police department is in her home district and won’t go to where her rental is t serve the warrant The one in the rental district won’t serve a warrant from another jurisdiction The lawyer said “The courts are upholding no evictions even if they are NOT TENANTS because of Covid rules” so the police just keep pointing fingers at each other in delay Meanwhile, they are trying to get the Sheriffs department to serve the warrant. The lawyer thought that would be the “ best bet if ANYONE WOULD SERVE AN EVICTION NOWADAYS” So the lady NEVER LET THESE PEOPLE ON HER PROPEY- they BROKE IN - and she didn’t know they were there until her carpenter could not get in to do work - that’s why it was empty - it needed some renovations The lawyer told us after the lady left - “This is becoming more and more common - squatters - and the police won’t put them out “ Makes you want to buy rentals huh? NOT! WATCH YOUR PROPERTY or SECOND HOME - cottages or condos too Squatters taking over That is crazy! I’d try to get the media involved. They love a circus. IDGAF |
