This part of your post stuck me because in the past week my efforts have also been to show love in my attempts to stand strong when voicing what I believe, without accelerating into a yelling screaming battle. It is really tough to put love into a disagreement.

The word "REMONSTRATE" means, " To put the glow of respectability onto the act of yelling, when telling someone they are wrong.

Isn't that what we do when we leave the love out of the conversation? We actually feel we are RESPECTABLE in the conversation, when we are not at all!

So, this week I am practicing removal of "remonstrating" when I engage in discussions. As you said, "it is hard to change". It is hard to discuss with love , when we feel that glow of respectability in our yelling. I have to continually remind myself the yelling is abuse not love. If I cant get myself under control, I am trying to just walk away till I can.
