I inherited my Dad's mobile home in Fl when he passed so I have to keep it up and one day I got notice my electric bill increased quite a bit so I called and found out they installed a smart meter. I told them they had no right without asking me and they said I could "opt Out" but have to pay $25 extra a month for opt out fee (pisst me off but I figured my life is worth it). So they call me back and say if I opt out they have to connect to a pole behind the home that is filled with trees and bush and I would have to cut down a path for the fella's to go check the numbers every month. Well, it's not my property but a Memorial park where the pole is. So I gave in to the smart meter, after reading this, I am sorry I did not fight harder
