Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 78185142 United States 09/18/2021 06:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A few facts need to be revealed regarding "parenting". Quoting: Chip Some people can do it and some can't. Of course everybody can "be" a parent. But to "parent" (as a verb) is completely different. When a person desires a child and plans for that child's arrival, then gives birth to that child; More often than not that child means the world to that parent (or those parents). Good parenting is the result. On that note once these types of people become a parent suddenly their own desires and needs become secondary. The wellbeing of their offspring are all that matter thereafter. Parents that become parents by accident have a 50/50 wakeup call. Some flourish as parents and become that same type of Parent I mentioned above. The other 50% behave as the op stated. They end up hating a child or all of their children. But here is the wisdom in my point...if your hate your child in reality you hate yourself and see something in the child that reminds you of yourself. When a parent runs into a person that is childless by choice the conversation can seem pointless and mundane or petty to the parent. It's common. From the point of view of good mother or father people without children serve no purpose. Because according to a real parent people without children will never rise to the next level of humanity. Selflessness. I myself have conversations with childless people often....and all I can say is holy fucking shit are you motherfuckers lost in a daze of self involved idiocy on level 10. You're not a complete person and cannot empathize with parents. However the parent knows full well what it's like to be childless. I hear you, but I am 100% on your side. I am a parent that simply never was. I won't even attempt to parent your kids out in public, but I'll be damned if I'm going to watch these freaks fuck with them. |
