Wal Mart blocking cell phone signals inside their stores.

Middle TN here. Same experience. Started a few months ago.

They have no idea what they’re talking about. Actively blocking cell signals would violate federal law.

Its a Metal building so cell is spotty in most of them. Lowes and depot are same way

I just used my phone in Walmart a few days ago and it went through fine. Used it a few times in fact.

The only reason I can think of is once these locations are turned into detention centers, they don’t want communication in or out of you have a cell phone on you.

No... I was a Sales Rep bringing in pallets of product into Walmart for multiple years & my cell phone had to work in the stores & it did just fine.

Every time I go to Home Depot and get far enough into the store there is no cell service. Metal construction is terrible for cell service and WiFi. If you build a home with metal studs, you are going to have a bad time with signals in your house.

This. People walk through our store all day long and scan the bar code on the products and buy them online. It really sucks to talk to someone for half an hour and tell them exactly what they need and they scan it and buy it at amazon. I get it its cheaper, but without me you wouldnt have known what part to get and that is killing business. People call in and ask for part #s . I tell them no. They get jacked but I dont get paid to sell parts for Amazon. amazon sells to the public for the same price my distributer charges me. In some cases my actual distributers sell directly to the public for the same prices they sell to me for. Its going to kill retail. The waste is so high with amazon, people trying to figure out the parts they need and sending back product 3 or 4 times trying to get the right parts instead of paying me a measly 20 or 30% markup to get the right stuff the first time and be done.

Lately, people have been buying the product with us, then ordering it on Amazon so they dont have to wait, then try to return the Amazon item to me a week later. I ask where our price tag went? They dont get a return. But if its something they can open and put the new product back in our back then return it what can I do.
Its kinda sad.

Couldn't be legal. Sometimes it's minutes before someone comes by an aisle especially in the late evenings. If someone falls and can't yell, yet can try to attempt to call 911 they would be unable to do so. I see an incoming lawsuit.
