GM Warns Chevy Bolt Owners Not to Park Within 50ft of Anything You Care About

EV's seem like a death trap. Sitting on top of a giant high voltage battery pack where there is a chance that in any wreck or undercarriage damage to puncture the batteies and turn your car into a roman candle.

My next-door neighbor bought one of those piles of shit. And they park it inside the garage. So, if it goes up in flames, the whole house goes with it.

Every battery pack used in every electric car is thermally unstable. Plenty of Teslas spontaneously combust, too. You want to own an electric car? Be my guest. But park the damn thing FAR away from me.

They are. Firefighters can't put out a fire that has lithium as a source.

They are going to probably have to put new batteries in with a 10 year warranty. So you will get a $50k car for $15k.

We have some in our fleet at work. Can't park them in an underground garage either. Huge pita.
Temp solution is don't charge above 90%.
Long term solution is buy gas powered but wtf do I know...

lithium is a nightmare for the recycling world...lead is already recycled in the high 90%

unless someone can work out a clean way to recycle lithium that is cost efficient...
