Something DEF does seem "FUCKY".
BOTH the step Dad AND Real Dad look like CIA or some kind of under-cover Military.
This actually MIGHT be some kind of planted distraction.

Officer: 1) '666' triangle tattoo loud and proud 2) Immediately tried turning the dude into the victim 3) Seemed really interesting in separating Brian to a motel room and keeping Gabby, a 22 year old 22lb female alone in their van in a huge ass National Park near where people had been murdered) 4) Seemed to be breaking protocol by not bringing Gabby to jail (Why? Not saying she deserved jail, but why break protocol after already deciding she WAS going to jail?) 5) Spent most of the ride with Brian telling him to get Gabby on drugs so she would behave better (like he did his wife) and how his ex-wife was abusive toward him HOWEVER - Quit a few days after this the 'Dad' spoke with her on phone. The Dad said the video was insignificant because she was ok quite awhile after that was taken. Probably quite a ways down the road by then. I think the BF pushed her off a cliff.
