I heard and felt it this morning in WV, people in town first said it was a gas explosion at the Chicken plant in Edinburg VA, others were saying it was a 2.9 earth Quake, when i got home i looked all over the web and found nothing, the power was also out here for 3 hours, came back on about 12:00 pm, if it was in VA it would be 40 to 50 miles from me, all i know is it was loud and shook my house, the boom was followed with about 5 seconds of a low rumble, no storms in the area this morning that i am aware of so ???

I know the person from Wardensville WV that took this video!! the news channel that reported is from Harrisonburg VA off I-81. surely if it was a meteor someone would have seen it?

I live on the other side of the GW from that plant, I really want to go home and see what is up.

Hardy county?? if so there were some limbs down but that is not unusual with all the rain lately, it sounded more like a Gas explosion to me and it did sound like it came from the Woodstock side of the mountain but you know how sound is here in the mountains.

Satellite data picked up on lightning flashes over Hardy county Friday morning yet there were no storms. This is why we think a meteor strike is possible.
