... I had to put all my taxis in my own house my employees brought them here, because I live at some high point in my city (Cannes)
And it rains a lot, people are worried

Glad to hear that, good thing your on high ground! looks like alot of rain in a very short period of time, plus some pretty severe straightline winds. We had the opposite here in Canada, severe drought and fires like ive never seen before. Thankfully now its raining...

Unbelievable! What is going on? Is this something that happens frequently in France?

Today in KY, we had torrential rain early am. Huge lighting strikes & booms. Water was standing on the roads. After the heavy rain passed, I got a blaring message on my phone telling me to beware of flash floods & to stay home & not risk going out! REALLY? I guess better late than never!

But by then it was just gently raining. No flooding noted!

Not sure! Maybe some people living in the region will comment on that... I remember Germany got severe mud floods no too long ago, China has had extreme flooding.

Thanks for the info about the weather where you live. Where I am in Canada we were BEGGING for rain all summer due to such severe fires and drought, one of the scariest times ive had to live through for sure. Smoke so bad it was setting off peoples smoke alarms inside their homes even with all the windows closed! Finally now the weather is switching to much cooler and some light/moderate rain.
