You’re not factoring the sheer weight involved and the speed...it would impact it doesn’t have to hit at terminal velocity...sheer kinetic energy would do the trick. The wave would be enormous in the immediate vicinity as it propagates out to the deeper parts of the ocean the wave height will decrease as the energy slowly dissipates with distance. Even 20 meters at impact on the coasts will still cause horrifying damage

I don’t know the science, but are the figures taking into account the volcanic force accelerating the landslide? If so, that would be where the speeds are coming from…not just freefall.

Or if you calculate the volume of the LaPalma rock and assume it will displace that same volume of water, by the time it makes it to whatever shoreline, it would be so spread out you would barely notice. At least that's my hill billy take on it.

There would be coastline impact on the entire gulf and swell up the Mississippi- which might be enough added weight to trigger the New Madrid and really put a hit on the entire eastern half of the US

Historically speaking, a lot of volcanos can experience magmatic processes without erupting. It's concerning for La Palma because of it's destructive potential. Comes down to pressure, and movement. If the Magma has somewhere to go, then it won't create the pressure needed for an explosive eruption.
