IGN is the official data collector for Spain/the Canary Islands... the scientists, with the equipment. They gather the data then they look at it and calcuate and report, and sometimes calculate more and revise it and report it again

Websites and apps like emsc just use web technology to pull data from IGN and other countries' monitoring systems. They usually only post the countries' provisional data which is always subject to change, and is only changed by the official agencies such as IGN...so you receive inaccurate earthquake data when if you rely on emsc.
