We will be bringing you live updates as and when we get them A plane has crash landed into the water at Bournemouth Air Festival this afternoon after reports of an engine failure. The 'wingwalking' plane - where somebody is strapped onto the top of a plane with a safety harness and cable - has reportedly crashed in nearby Poole Harbour and sunk. It is understood authorities are now attempting to find the black box of the aircraft. There are no reports of any injuries at this stage. During the display the plane kind of disappeared out of sight," he said. The crowd was then told that a pilot had reported a fault and had flown off to try and rectify it. They didn't have it in the last two years because of virus restrictions. From one of the pages: AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers Founded in 1984 the AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers are the world’s only formation wingwalking team and they are making a welcome return to the Festival this year. Earlier today, just before 4pm, a biplane performing as part of the Bournemouth Air Festival crash-landed after reports the aircraft suffered engine failure.
