Had a dream that literally shoot me awake.
Nothing much to it, my wife and I are in bed, and I'm sleeping and she's watching TV, all of the sudden everything is shaking and I "Wake Up" within the dream and ask "Are we having an EQ???"
And then I woke up for real.
We've had 4's in or around Detroit before and I never noticed them, so I'm guessing this must've been a 5.x or above.

I would suggest that a way to "tell" if a dream-is-just-a-dream
...would be to determine if your dream is in fact just
a normal dream in REM SLEEP...or whether it is what is
called a LUCID DREAM.
Knowing the difference between the 2 (Carl Jung had lots
of theories about "Lucid Dreams" you can check out) may
SAVE YOUR LIFE.
I relocated from a west coast town (Waldport, Or) all the
way to a NW Montana town due to a "LUCID DREAM"--and I
believe it has (and will continue to) saved my life.
I sincerely believe LUCID DREAMS are divine intervention
and should be taken very seriously. They are "gifts" in
many cases and one has been chosen to have the Creator's
WARNING of coming events. To dismiss them as "just dreams"
is IMHO very foolish.
