However, to the Lefty lunatics out there it might just open a few eyes! Or at least raise a few eyebrows. The Biden Administration is so far beyond the pale of criminal, if you can't see it by now, you're blind! So, what say you Lefties! |

Biden played host to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for a long-sought Oval Office meeting and tried to reassure him that his administration remains squarely behind the Eastern European nation. Biden didn't mention Afghanistan in his brief appearance with Zelenskyy before cameras. But he highlighted his concerns about Russian aggression in the region. Biden, in making his case to end the war in Afghanistan, repeatedly said winding down the 20-year conflict would allow the U.S. to put greater focus on combating malevolent acts from adversaries Russia and China. "The United States remains firmly committed to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russian aggression and for Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic aspirations," Biden said. more: [link to www.wisn.com (secure)] |

The TAPI Pipeline in Post-U.S. Withdrawal Afghanistan [link to southasianvoices.org (secure)] According to the Asian Development Bank, a project shareholder, the TAPI pipeline will span over 1600 kilometers from the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan border to the Pakistan-India border. When the pipeline is at its full capacity it will transport 33 billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas each year from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. The distribution would provide Afghanistan access to five percent and 47.5 percent to Pakistan and another 47.5 percent to India for thirty years. There have been competing figures over how much Afghanistan may receive in transit fees, with reports ranging from USD $400 million by Afghan news agencies to claims of receiving USD $1 billion from the Turkmen foreign minister. [link to sgp.fas.org (secure)] U.S. officials view this project as superior to a proposed gas pipeline from Iran to India, transiting Pakistan. and A consortium led by Los Angeles-based Unocal Corporation proposed a $7.5 billion Central Asia Gas Pipeline that would originate in southern Turkmenistan and pass through Afghanistan to Pakistan, with possible extensions into India. --------------- I don't know much about Unocal Corp or Chevron or the CEO Michael Wirth but it looks like some nice rabbit holes to go down. |
