Ever spent time in prison?

Say a twelve year sentence. The first few months go slow as hell. After you get used to your new surrounding and into a daily routine time seems normal.

After about 11 1/2 years you realize your time is almost up and things slow down to a crawl.

When you are a young child time crawls by because you have so many hopes, dreams, playmates and things interesting to do. The next day can never seem to get here quickly enough.

After a certain age more dread than happiness seems to set in and things you should have accomplished are left for the next day, thus time seems to fly by.
