How I’ve been sticking it to the man.

So when I moved from Kansas City to Memphis or back to Memphis after my divorce. I could have rented an apartment or maybe gotten a modest home but I decided to start living in a studio apartment that’s furnished and cleaned daily, it’s basically a hotel.

It struck me just the other day that my “rent“ is way less then I would be paying if it were an actual unfurnished apartment. As a matter of fact my “rent“ keeps going down.

I realized this after the management started being assholes towards me. Seems like they now want me gone so they can start renting my room out at the full price on a nightly basis.

If it weren’t for disaster season and COVID, I’d have been gone a long time ago. I’m not squatting, I’m honoring their own policy.

But I get free high-speed Internet free electricity Freewater free gas all I have to do is simply pay one monthly rent payment and that payment has gone down monthly. I’m wondering if at some point maybe I’ll end up owning this “hotel room”.

I’m not a bum and like I said I’m not squatting, As a matter of fact my ex-wife and I at one point owned 3 homes in 3 states. We lived in the 4th one near KC.

What’s my point ? honestly, I don’t know just pointing out a possible life hack for anyone who has had their life ripped from them?
