Haha, I remember Max Headroom and how my younger brothers thought it was a bit creepy. We grew up w/ Rosie on The Jetsons.

I thought about this clip since I remember a thread featuring that!

Had a girlfriend who's father's last job w/in his company was to actually work/maintain robotic line production. He told us there would be nothing but automation/robots and would totally change the economic landscape putting people out of basic jobs. But there would always be a need for people like him to repair/maintain these systems.

In official media such as KNC, Kamski is perceived as discreet. He claims his goal is to create the perfect imitation human that can bring humans happiness and be welcomed into their homes, carrying out the most annoying and repetitive tasks so that people would have more time to enjoy life. He claims androids are smarter and more capable than human beings, but are also obedient, making them the perfect partners for humans. Kamski believes the societal shift from human-to-human to human-to-machine relationships as a positive, weighing the potential for human happiness more heavily than any moral implications of an increasing dependence on android technology.

Kamski considers the change in economy and society caused by android deployment as an inevitable technology advance, not unlike the invention of steam engines, as such Artificial Intelligence makes the lives of human easier. He states CyberLife androids would never pose a threat humans as they would never develop any sort of desires or forms of self-awareness.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk says the humanoid android is being made to work in a world made by and built by humans. It should take on tasks that many might consider dangerous, boring, or repetitive. The android itself will be 5’8 and weigh 125 pounds. Its head will serve as a display to show information. It will also have eight cameras.

Musk stated that the AI programming in the Tesla Android would be an extension of the AI in its cars, which he called “semi-sentient robots on wheels”. Musk added that such an android should, using neural net programming, handle tasks such as picking up groceries or turning a wrench without being trained to do so line by line. He believes that physical activities for humans will become a choice in the future rather than a necessity.

Of course, such an android could have huge effects on society if they succeed in taking over jobs from humans. Those kinds of future scenarios have been the stuff of tons of science fiction stories, movies, and TV shows for decades.

In "Meet Kamski", he exhibits considerable amount of contradicting views. Fascinated by the deviants, he explains androids with the combination of infinite intelligence, perfection and free will (when deviated), along with the fact machine being very important to human, leads to inevitable and ironic confrontation between the two sides. He specifically is interested in if machines are capable of empathy, do machines think of machines as merely objects or living beings with a soul. He also concerns about whether machines will choose to betray their own kind or stand against their creators. Kamski is unwilling to stand at the position of this dilemma, viewing joining either side to both bear serious consequence.

Actually, it's perfectly normal to feel sudden urges to "comply" - it's because the stress system fuelled by cortisol is momentarily relaxed as it looks for options out of the stressful situation (ie, all the stress that is being caused by the prospect of having our live's ruined by not taking the van).

Momentarily, one considers the prospect of an exit from permanent stress situation and feels relief fleetingly. Then the stress levels return as the fight response kicks back in - they are literally playing mind games with us and stressing us as a test (probably for what's coming next).
