Anyone else notice that dabs and vaping can damage throat making it susceptible...

Honestly, here a few months ago, I was pretty sick.

I kicked most of it with Ivermectin, but for over a week I had a lingering cough, green nasty shit in my lungs.

A friend brought over a dab cartridge, said, "Try this."

I did and I slept very well that night, lol.

However, the next morning, I noticed that my lungs were far better than the day prior.

So, I hit that cartridge throughout that next day and by evening, my lungs were even clearer.

The next day it was completely gone, no mucus, no green shit, no coughing, nothing.

I'm fairly certain it saved me a trip to the doctor, kept me off of antibiotics, and cleared my infection quicker than anything else would have anyhow.

So, no. I do not believe that it causes you to be susceptible. In fact, the woman who shared her dab cartridge with me didn't get sick at all.

Can you describe the MOA (mechanism of action) indicating vaping makes you susceptible to spike proteins?

There's been a lot of media push against vaping over the years, and some highly questionable "studies". I think most of it stems from the cigarette/tobacco industry.

There are dangers to vaping if done carelessly and improperly. Using the wrong liquids w/ unknown chemicals, vaping with too much wattage, and vaping with a thoroughly burnt coil (carcinogens).

The safest way to vape is keep your coil clean, set your device properly, and make your own unflavored liquid (it is badly formulated flavorings that pose the most risk - probably shit from China).

I know a couple of people who vape and run 5 and/or 10k on the regular.

What were you "dabbing"? I thought dabbing was the THC wax, which requires a special pipe and torch lighter. I wasn't aware using a cartridge is called "dabbing" is it? I thought that's called vaping, and you mean with THC?

People have known for centuries that smoking Pot has anti pathogenic properties. It can also give you lung infections from mold if it's not cured and dried properly, which is the huge advantage of using the oil cartridges. It's much milder on the throat if you take smaller puffs.

Good weed won't even affect your throat negativity if its been dried and cured properly, you won't even feel it on your throat, if anything it will make you start salivating. Most commercial weed is shit crap sawdust that irritates the throat.

The people that I know that vape/smoke have never had covid, despite being in intimate contact with others that were sick. I remember reading that nicotine might offer some protection.

What I find glaring are assertions without support evidence. You know, like:

Did you forget to share with us the studies demonstrating the specific throat damage caused by "dabs and vaping? What are the biochem mechanisms of this damage? Any use specificity? What are the outcome conditions? Does this happen across all investigated age groups, genders and other demographic profiles?

By "it", I assume you mean the throat or perhaps the lungs, so we'll just refer to the respiratory system to encompass whatever you did mean.

Where are these studies showing how this claimed damage from "daps and vaping" makes one more susceptible to spike proteins? Share with us your support data and how this has been demonstrated.

Because, I guarantee there are many here who can overwhelm you with studies and data showing the protective as well as treatment benefits of both Marijuana and nicotine (the substance not the cigs).
And research demonstrating the protective mechanisms of nicotine through disrupting spike protein cell attachment exists, too.

Back up your claims, OP. The responsibility is on you, and I believe several here will be interested in reading and better understanding the mechanisms of your assertions.

Exactly! The op must be in a low quality weed location . Watch out for that Powder mold and black bud mold in all that commercial weed. I have personally worked on a legal farm for quite some time now and can tell you they all have contamination of some form. The tests just aren’t good enough and they miss it . The best is not in a store , it’s at your neighborhood dealers house .

i dab a little hot so my throat is like sort of injured and is like a binding site for what is going around.

i agree that pot actually helps against sickness.

for me once i start getting a sore throat and other symptoms i use lugols iodine and pine needle tea to kill it

but tk kill the sore throat i have to stop dabbing basically.

Vaping nicotine can kill COVID.

It's true. It's why I continue to vape (I use a 18 mg/ml ejuice). It even prevents the common flu.

i smoked real cigs for about 15 years and never got the flu during that time. I have been quit from nicotine now about 11 years now.

vaping the glycol too much though does do something weird to muy throat so i only vape rosin.

but to be clear the problem i am having when dabbimg or vaping cannibus is that i do get it a little too hot.

it is my fault i guess but it has led to me picking up spike proteins or something twice now.
