Don't really know you, but we are all on this forum, and we have all lost loved ones, acquaintances, friends, and heroes over the last year and a half. Regardless, condolences fellow traveler, to you and your family.

Take care of yourself, and I hope your pain eases as soon as possible.

Re: My Wife Donna passed away on September 1st
So we got some of our affairs in order today. Dakota and his aunt did anyway. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and then a short service at 4. This Sunday.

I'm still self isolating but I will make a brief appearance to say my goodbys.

Its a small funeral home we have been there many times over the years. Im already tripping out just thinking about being in a crowd.

I am so sorry. This is horrible to read. I hope you are able to comfortably say your goodbyes to your wife. Please don't be rushed.

Take care of yourself.
 Quoting: Liverwurst

I'm not going to stay for the service I've already discussed this with Dakota, he actually didn't think I would go to the viewing, he almost advised against it. Im just not comfortable in a setting with others right now.

Also our Pastor is very long winded.

You could arrange a private visit with Donna. Especially since you've had symptoms. Everyone would understand. hf

Nine's is right, especially at the smaller places. They usually have family come an hour earlier anyway for private goodbyes.

There isn't anything I can say that the others haven't said, but I'll be with y'all in spirit and prayer tomorrow and through the weekend.

To so many of the others that have lost loved ones, I'm so sorry. This time period really stinks. I pray for peace for you too.

My deepest condolences, BBQ boy.

I pray that you feel her nuturing presence around you... especially in nature. May the sun on your skin remind you of her warmth.

Our souls in the living are mostly asleep. She has awoken to the magnificence that is heaven.

Thanks everyone. Time has just been dragging the last two days. Plus being here alone isn't helping, I think I have heard every tick of the clock today.

Praying for you and your family! I am so sorry to hear this! May the love of Christ Jesus and his mercy rest upon you and your family. Again, I am so sorry to hear this sad news.
My Hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness...

Very good advice, here. You may still be infectious and I am sure you would not want to pass this virus to anyone showing up to pay respects to Donna.

And you should have your own private time to spend with her before anyone else gets there anyway.

HUGE HUG!

You are amazing! I know it hurts like holy Hannah, but Donna would be so proud of you for holding it together.

Just remember to grieve. It's ok to cry and miss your wife and the mother of your children.

I'm just so sorry for this terrible loss. Everything you've been through and now this? Praying, praying and praying for you!

I have avoided talking about this.
My elderly mother who lives in Zimbabwe has had severe reaction to second vax shot a few weeks ago.
She’s now had 3 strokes and is deteriorating rapidly.
I’ve made the decision, with my siblings, to not fly to Zimbabwe to say goodbye.
Having to quarantine in a disease riddled Zimbabwean government building as I’m unvaxxed is just one of the reasons for not travelling.

You have to do what’s right for you Pete, these are extraordinary times.

You’ve got this fella!
