Quoting: Lurker since 2003 As to number 3 on your list, the Delta variant is the reason. It's 1000 (official) times more contagious than the others. Hmm, well that's interesting. My wife and I go out to shop at least once a week here in Cali. It's always busy out here so there's no way to avoid crowds. I would be really surprised if we both have not been exposed to it in 2020. I knew someone recently back in my home states of Kansas, he is 77 or 78, and he got delta last week. He had to go to the hospital for a few days in Wichita. He was unvaxxed, and he recovered. No word on if he had permanent damage, but he did get out and seems okay.
