Bikini-wearing Fremont woman arrested as arson suspect in Sierra wildland fire

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE — A 43-year-old Fremont woman was in custody after her arrest last week on suspicion of arson and other charges in connection with allegedly starting a wildland fire, authorities said.

The woman, who deputies said wore a bikini and was covered in scratches and soot, was booked into the county’s South Lake Tahoe jail on suspicion of arson involving forest lands, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, and resisting or obstructing a peace officer.

Deputies came across the suspect, 43-year-old Viola Liu, who they say was covered in scratches and soot and dressed in a bikini.
